Mission
The mission is to foster students’ personal and social growth. The program offers guidance and support to promote achievement with academic and life goals. The counseling program is collaborative, working with administrators, teachers, parents, students, staff, and the community, to help meet the needs of all children proactively. This educational counseling program will advocate and empower students with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to succeed, as well as, to inspire them to pursue a meaningful, professional career.
Vision
All students can succeed with the guidance and support of a comprehensive school counseling program. This school counseling program is developmental in nature and data-driven in order to effectively meet the needs of all student groups. In collaboration with the parents, staff, students, and community, HAE’s School Counseling program will teach, guide, and inspire its students to reach their current and life-long goals.
Consultation and Collaboration Services:
· Meet with parents to help them with their needs, provide information & resources
· Consult with teachers and staff members
· Assist in developing PBIS initiatives
· 504 Coordinator
· Member of school-based teams: Student Assistance Program, PBIS, Climate, Communication, & Culture Committee, and the Crisis Team
· Observe students if needed
· Assist in school-wide testing if needed
· Make referrals to outside agencies for help with students & families and work in collaboration with NRVCS
· Support attendance initiatives to encourage attendance
· Coordinate Lunch Buddies Program
